Hertford County Application Accepted

The Hertford County Business and Industry Council in partnership with the Mid-East Commission. has made application to the State of North Carolina  to have Hertford County  certified as a "Work Ready Community." Candidates who apply to become Certified Work Ready will train and go through a series of proficiency testing administered by the State. Upon passing the levels, the candidate themselves become certified by the State in certain skill sets as work ready. Prospective employers will have an understanding and confidence of the employees skill levels and students and individuals who pass through the program have an additional credit to their resumes when competing in the job market. It is a win for all and a labor force confidence builder as industries consider Hertford County  as their choice for future expansion.
